|Exhibition Eine Frage nach der Geste, Fotohof Salzburg 2007|
Unlike sequential installations, CasaBellaArt is composed of six large photomontages in high-gloss photo quality. Framed in precious wood, they have regained their status as "artworks." Their quality as objects creates a connection to the chosen interiors, while their ubiquitous "sofa painting" format easily integrates them into each living space. Here the figure is presented in classic picture format, thereby allowing it to function as an autonomous artwork. The space in the picture depicts the luxury and style of the famous Case Study Houses in Los Angeles.
The artists developed artwork specifically for the interior design of these houses. Every room is installed with a written piece executed in the style of conceptual art - that is, with a complex work of art that corresponds to the interior. The texts are fragmentary phrases from a lecture by Allen Ginsberg; they form the basis for the song in the video work KUNSTWERKE 36 and offer instructions for meditation and poetry.
An exhibition in Salzburg presented the six pictures and the video Kunstwerke 36, which was shown on a small DVD screen.
